Smiths Fracture

Smith's fracture is a fracture of the distal radius occurring 2.5 cm from the waist joint, with the distal radial fragment being displaced and tilted anteriorly towards the volar aspect of the wrist. The fracture most commonly occurs in post-menopausal women.

Reversed Colles' fracture.

Mechanism of Injury / History

The patient gives a history of a fall onto the back of the hand.

Clinical Features / Examination

The patient complains of pain around the wrist following an injury. There is a reverse dinner fork deformity.
