Lateral release w reefing of medial quads tendon, quads expansion and patella ligament. 87 knees followed up. Compared Proximal re-alignment (53) to tibial tubercle transfer (34), both with or without shaving. Good or excellent in 84 % (prox w shaving) and 85% (dist w shaving).

Critique

2 different patient groups (true dislocators had a distal re-alignment).
